General Manager


As a key member of the Sunbelt Team help create and maintain a culture that fosters teamwork, accountability and a “company first” mentality. Further, make it a Sunbelt practice to under promise and over deliver to both clients and associates. Likewise, promote and provide positive effective communication to clients and associates. Increase efficiency to provide Sunbelt profit on labor moving forward.


Specifically the (GM) position has the following key broad responsibilities:


· Assist Sunbelt’s owner to implement operational policies, procedures, and processes that when properly executed remove as many variables as possible from Sunbelt’s operation


· Effectively execute those operational policies, procedures, and processes in a manner that “optimizes” Sunbelt’s earnings*


· Day to day leadership & management of technicians


o Compare hours paid to hours charged (minimize unbillable)


o Compare actual time and equipment used to projected


· Manage completion of jobs on time and within or under budget


· Ensure Sunbelt delivers clients an extraordinarily professional, high quality, and pleasant experience


· Assist sales, and design process (walk through etc)


Thus, Sunbelt clients will recommend Sunbelt to friends, family, and business associates that will help keep the company’s sales pipeline full with referrals which is positive for the company, and all stakeholders.


Detailed Duties Include but Are Not Limited to The Following:


Check future scheduling and jobs to begin preparation for any parts or team members needed.


Daily Duties


Day before GM:


· Evaluates jobs and assigns technician(s) to each job with help from installations manager


· E mail/Text technician(s) client’s name, phone number, directions & appointment time(in conjuction with administrator)—Get confirmation from technician


· Call client to confirm Sunbelt’s appointment(Controller handling this)


· Ensure equipment, supplies, and tools needed are on hand


Morning of job:


· Meet technicians at Sunbelt @ 8:30 AM (unless exception)


· Communicate any changes in job schedule


· Ensure all equipment/supplies needed for job on truck before departs


· At earliest time technician realizes he may be running late:


o Call office first for instructions


o Call client (if applicable)


· Remind technicians to be polite and neat on job


· Remind technicians to clean up & take trash


Middle of Day/Jobs


· Check in with technicians on transition to next job and time requirements


End of day:


· Ensure unused equipment unloaded and secured at Sunbelt


· Clean truck in preparation for next day


· (GM) reviews all tech’s completed time & equipment used sheet


· Must have daily reports at end of day from all technicians


· Question technicians on variances


· Report exceptions to Owner


· Schedules all technicians for following day and lets them know where they’re starting for the day


*Including bonus earned by General Manager while also maximizing stakeholder value (Including operations manager)
